On the night of Thursday, October 5th, Winston Capital held an event signifying the launch of Waterstone on Lake Travis. Waterstone, a 71-unit luxury condominium development, is located on the north shore of Austin’s Lake Travis and sits 35-miles from the city center. The occasion was hosted by the project’s architect, PageSoutherlandPage, in the lobby of the CSC Financial Headquarters building which was recently designed by the firm.
From this location overlooking Town Lake, Lawrence Speck, the project’s lead architect and a principal at PageSoutherlandPage, spoke of his vision for the project. “The topography of the site is unique as it slopes toward the water. It levels out to create a natural shelf before the terrain continues its decent into the lake. We arranged the buildings along this shelf, thus incorporating the development into the surrounding hill county,” Speck said describing his work. Speck continued by describing the aesthetics used to combine Waterstone’s modern luxury with the traditional lines of the rugged Texas Hill County.
The event, attended by nearly 80 individuals including affluent Austinites, brokers and a variety of investors, marked a new awareness of turn-key luxury living on Lake Travis. Chris Ray, Assistant Vice President of Winston Capital, said that “upon completion Waterstone is anticipated to be the premier condominium development on Lake Travis.”
