Waterford on Lake Travis is a master-planned community just 35 miles from downtown Austin and consists of several sections of development, primarily comprised of custom single-family homes, situated on more than 460 acres. Sections I, II and III are now complete and sold out.
On September 25th, 2006 the site for a new marina facility off the coast of Section IV was approved by the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). A permit for the site is expected to be issued within the next 2-3 weeks, and estimates place the first marina in the water by the first quarter of 2007. These slips will be available to serve the Waterford development, including the Waterstone condominiums, and others in the Lake Travis area.
Also, as of October 5th, 2006 plats for Sections IVa, V and VI have been approved by the City of Lago Vista, and the plats are now in review with Travis County. At the conclusion of this review period construction of these three sections will begin. Together they are expected to add an additional 110 single-family lots to the Waterford community.
